Sparrow Run doesn't sell your information. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and where you stand.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. This tracks general things like your browser and rough location, not who you are. That data is processed by Google under their own privacy terms.
Email, if you give it to us. If you sign up for the ride brief or write to ride@sparrowrun.org, we keep your email so we can write back. Signups are stored with our email service provider. That's it. We don't add you to anything you didn't ask for.
Commitments, if you make one. If you put your word behind the ride, we keep your name or initials, your email, which path you chose, and the amount you named, so we can write to you when the first run is finished. Nothing is charged. Nothing is binding. The same goes for a reserve on the Support page: we keep your email and what you put your name on, nothing is charged, and one message removes it. That information stays with us and our form provider and goes nowhere else.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't collect payment information, nothing on this site processes payments yet.
Google Analytics uses cookies to tell repeat visitors from new ones. You can block or clear these anytime in your browser settings. The site works fine without them.
Want your email gone? Ask and it's gone. One message to ride@sparrowrun.org does it.
This site isn't built for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Sparrow Run is a commitment, not a sanctioned event. Nobody rides for you and nobody rides under us. Every man who takes on the ride or a challenge does it voluntarily, at his own risk, on his own equipment, under his own judgment, and in line with the law where he rides. Know your limits, check the weather, and make your own go or no-go call. We ride together in spirit. Your safety is yours.
Email ride@sparrowrun.org. A real person reads it.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Nothing changes retroactively without telling you first.
